Sheer Shades
Sleek & Stylish Sheer Shades Can Give Your Home a Touch of Elegance
If you’re looking for a way to regulate the amount of natural light that enters your home but don’t want to completely block out the sun, then sheer shades are the perfect option for you.
Made of translucent fabric panels and fabric vanes, sheer shades are structural yet subtle and can help you create a soft, elegant mood within your home by diffusing sunlight and distributing it throughout your interior space. Sheer shades also filter out ultraviolet rays, so they can help prevent your walls, floors, furniture, and other possessions from fading due to UV exposure.
Apollo Draperies installs beautiful sheer shades for homeowners throughout Cincinnati, Ohio, and the surrounding communities, and if you’re interested in having sheer shading installed, we can help you choose the best option for your home.
Our Sheer Shading Options
We offer a variety of sheer shading options from industry-leading window treatment manufacturer Hunter Douglas, including the following sheer shades collections:
- Silhouette® Window Shadings – Featuring adjustable S-shaped vanes suspended between two sheer panels, these delicate window coverings provide both beauty and practical benefits. You can choose from a variety of colors to match your interior décor and even incorporate a room-darkening roller shade for enhanced privacy.
- Pirouette® Window Shadings – These shades feature soft, front-facing horizontal vanes attached to a single sheer backing which creates the look of a traditional Roman shade when closed. However, when the vanes are opened, the sheer fabric filters sunlight to create a quiet, ambient mood.
- Luminette® Privacy Sheers – This vertical sheer shading system is a great option for patio doors or large windows as it is available in extra-large sizes of up to 192 inches. Made of fabric vanes bonded to soft fabric panels, these sheer shades come in an array of colors that can easily be coordinated to match other Hunter Douglas products.
- Designer banded shade – Designer Banded Shades feature a combination of sheer and solid fabric bands in a single shade. Alternating sheer fabric with solid fabric allows one piece of fabric to transition from to closed providing a modern solution for view-through, light control and privacy. Fabrics are available in a variety of textures, colors, band heights, opacities and geometric designs.
- Nantucket™ Window Shadings – Nantucket™ Window Shadings, a collection of Silhouette® Window Shadings, combine innovative design with style and feature the s-shaped vanes. With vanes open, the sheer facings soften outside views, filter the incoming sunlight and helps block harmful UV rays. With vanes closed, enjoy privacy without complete darkness — and additional UV protection.
All of these sheer shading systems are available in a number of different operating systems, including the convenient PowerView® motorization which allows you to set your sheer shades on a timer so they’ll open and close at specific times whether you’re home or not.
With PowerView®, you can integrate your shades into your smart home system and control them using an app or voice command, or use the Pebble® Remote Control to select from pre-programmed settings to achieve the perfect amount of lighting for different times of the day.
